WARNING!!
DO NOT...I REPEAT...DO NOT BUY GE APPLIANCES!!

I bought a new house a year ago, with new GE stainless steel appliances.

Over the past year, ALL of my GE products have died or are in the process of a slow death.

  1. My GE Profile Stainless Steel Fridge sometimes turns off. The LED display only shows you partial numbers and makes a clicking sound when the fan is on

  2. My GE Reverse Osmosis water purifier trickles water even after several filter changes

  3. My GE Front Load Washer cannot be programmed to wash 'Colors' or 'Whites' because it runs a continuous cycle that doesn't stop rinsing and repeating

If it were one product, I would say it was a coincidence....but when it's ALL 3 products...

I would never buy anything by GE again......

GE WASHERS
by: Anonymous

Been in industry for 30 yrs....Service,delivery and sales. I find GE has some of the lowest permissible quality out there....all in the name of better profit. Metals are thinner, overall construction is poor and sounds like overgrown bread-maker.
Don't forget to compare "all" common denominators with other manufacturers....they are all on same path. These new items are barely repairable economically and will not last you half the time there originators did.

GE LG troubles
by: Anonymous

5 year old LG side by side fridge broke EASTER Sunday - filled with expensive goodies. Took 3 days to get repairman who was able to get it started after changing some parts. He said "factory" had done something wrong causing part to ware out. 2 months later --- it was not running again. My husband (an engineer) unplugged it and plugged it back in and motor kicked on. Lost some frozen food only (this time.) Thinking of buying an extra fridge to put in the garage for the next break down - isn't that crazy - planning for the next breakdown?

Mold Grows in a GE MONOGRAM REFRIGERATOR
by: jthomas

Yes, we spent nearly $4000 on a GE MONOGRAM refrigerator 4 years ago. It began growing mold within the first year, and we have been battling it ever since.

Look online and you will see that this is NOT an isolated problem, and people are upset. I have finally lost patience after spending several hours today cleaning my refrigerator AND all the contents again.

At 63 years old, I have owned a few refrigerators, know how to clean, and know this is not "normal".

GE refrigerators are becoming known for being mold incubators.

Maintenance is Key to GE Monogram
by: Cheap Skate

I disagree. GE Monogram is a good refrigerator. You just have to do that one thing everyone thinks doesn't exist anymore: MAINTENANCE!

If you want to own a 5,000 dollar refrigerator and more, then get ready to pay some maintenance bills. Otherwise you'll have one nice hot box.
