Samsung RFG29PHDRS

28.4 Cu. Ft. 3-Door French Door Refrigerator with Exterior Water & Ice Dispenser - Stainless Steel Finish

Overall: The Samsung RFG29PHDRS really feels like an extravagant refrigerator all the way down to the colors it comes in - the black and white are done with a pearlized finish for a bit more bling.

You’ll never have to worry about not having enough space with just over 28 cubic feet nor will you ever run out of ice because it comes with 2 icemakers!

Lots of extra bells and whistles for the person who really wants a refrigerator that has it all.

Capacity: 28.4 cu. ft.

Notable Features:

  • Huge Storage with Great Organization: Having a great deal of room is worthless if it isn’t well organized but that’s not a concern here.

    1. The full size pantry drawer holds everything at four different temperatures including a thaw, fast chill and a regular cool setting you will be able to put everything including large party trays in it.

    2. The Samsung RFG29PHDRS has something we haven’t actually seen before that Samsung calls "Slide and Go Shelves". The best way to describe them is they look like slender door storage (wide enough to hold a jar of olives) to the right of the top and 2nd shelf that actually slide in and out for easy access. They say you can take the entire shelf out and carry it to the table.

    3. As for the shelves in the refrigerator, they are nothing but 'regular'. Specialized Shelves easily move and change for your needs. One small shelf on the top right next to the ice maker folds upward to allow for taller storage space for things like bottles of wine. Want to store super tall items? No problems here. The shelf below the ice maker actually folds back in half.

    4. While the Samsung RFG29PHDRS offers lots of storage, the doors are organized as well. For larger door storage you'll find a a total of 3 separate gallon door bins. We have two young kids and wish we had that much gallon door storage!

    5. LED Lighting: If you’ve read any refrigerator reviews you know that LED lighting really is the trend of the future for refrigerators but do you know why?

LED lighting pretty much makes having to change the light bulb in your refrigerator a thing of the past. It also doesn’t get hot and uses less energy than a regular light bulb.

  • Never Run Out of Ice: In the recent consumer reviews we had been told that while the owners loved their Samsung refrigerators, the ice makers just didn’t make enough ice. We are so happy to say that is seems like Samsung is listening with the addition of a second ice maker to a some of their French door refrigerators.

The top ice maker sits in the refrigerator and is solely responsible for making the ice for the door dispenser. The lower second one is located in the freezer and allows for easy filling of pitchers and ice buckets.

  • Great Cooling: One of the most important things in cooling a refrigerator is whether or not the fridge and freezer share the same air.

    Why?

Well because no one really wants the food in the freezer to end up tasting like leftovers. It also keeps the temperatures constant in each of the different areas and decreases the chance of an increase or decrease in moisture which helps keep your fresh and frozen foods fresher for longer.
