Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RSG257AARS

This Samsung side by side refrigerator is the worst product that I have ever bought.

Door handles will not stay on and ice-maker works on and off. Does not produce enough ice for a family of 4.

Support from Samsung is non-existent. They just want to get rid of you and do nothing. Do NOT buy this product.

Not Even An Day...
by: Anonymous

We brought our new fridge home, plugged it in... it cooled down just fine with no issues. A couple hours later, it just shut off. About 10-20 minutes later, it turned back on, then about a half hour later, it shut off. It has been doing this routine all night. The store we purchased it from is closed for the night. We have already gotten rid of the old fridge and stocked the new full of food (that will now have to be replaced). I contacted Samsung customer support.... that was a big joke. Will be taking back in the morning. This is pathetic.

Samsung Refrigerator: Not Worth the Price
by: Anonymous

For a fridge that costs this much you would think that Samsung could figure out how to design door handles that stay on the fridge.

Customer service was not helpful at all.

I will never purchase another Samsung product.

Poorly Made Samsung Refrigerator - Ice Maker has Bad Design
by: Anonymous

The ice maker on my Samsung side by side refrigerator has never working properly since we bought it. Sears after three to four tries can't fix it and neither can Samsung.

The icemaker is poorly designed, will never work properly and my recommendation to anyone in the market for a refrigerator such as this is to look elsewhere and pay a little more money to get better quality.

It's too bad there's not a lemon law in our state that applies to something other than automobiles.

Whats a consurmer to do?
by: Anonymous

I purchased a Samsung frig in November 2010, this was a replacement from Sears. The problem I've been having has to do with the ice maker. It is not big enough.

I had a 27" but was sold a 26" and was told it would be enough. What's worse is it cost me around $330 more. I am not happy and I don't know what to do.

Samsung Problems!
by: Anonymous

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator from Lowes one week ago. The handles are held on by plastic clips and keep coming loose.Today it came off when I tried to open the door. I put it back on and it came off when my wife tried to open it. Definitely a design flaw.

I spent an hour on the phone with Lowes and it will be going back today and exchanged for another brand of refrigerator.

Samsung refrigerator is a piece of junk!

My Samsung was the same piece of junk. It should be taken off the market before anyone has to go thru the nightmare!

Sorry to hear about your Samsung...
by: HeidiPro

Barry,

We're so sorry to hear about all of the problems you have been having with your Samsung refrigerator. Sadly enough if you scan through the previous Samsung reviews you'll probably see that your issue with your ice maker seems to be a recurring theme.

As for the door handles not staying on, I don't believe it's as big of a problem but I think I've also heard of one other person complaining of about it as well.

In regards to customer service, I've never had a problem but I've also heard of others who have.

We hope that you can get these things fixed and you can enjoy your refrigerator.
