After my GE side-by-side fridge made so much noise it sounded like it was howling like a dog, the frig stopped working.

I bought it in 2004, which makes it almost seven years old. I was told the motherboard was defective and recalled. Now I need someone to fix it. I thought that should be easy, but I was wrong. GE website does not list defective refriDgs; not much help there.

I've lost $300 in food and still don't have a refrigerator.

I recommend you search the web before buying a GE. It's junk, don't buy GE products.
