Overall: The Samsung RF263AERS French door refrigerator is truly a product of Samsung trying to create a very energy efficient, good cooling refrigerator. Take a look at all of the features they’ve added below to make sure it keeps things cool easily and inexpensively.

It is a great choice for a household with more than two people (it might be a bit big if you are alone in the house and don’t entertain often).

While the large capacity is great, there are more than a few seemingly small features added to this model that make it feel like it should sell for more than it does. Here’s just a few of the things that make the Samsung RF263AERS so interesting:

• Freezer pizza pocket (doesn’t seem like a big deal until all of your pizzas get smushed or lost)

Notable Features:

1. Even Cooling Throughout: A great deal of time in researching a refrigerator is often focused on how energy efficient it is as well as how even does it cool. Samsung not only covered both of these topics, they made sure to cover it from so many different angles.

   First the doors need to close properly. Samsung added what they call CoolSafe doors – they automatically close and make sure you get a really great seal.

   How well does the air flow around the refrigerator? Are there warm spots or frozen areas? The best way to guarantee even temperatures is constant and even air flow which is included in the Samsung RF263AERS.

   Good circulation begs the question. "Are the refrigerator and freezer sharing the same air?" If so this can cause your ice cream to end up tasting like last night’s salmon dinner (yuck!). This model actually keeps the airflow of the refrigerator and freezer separate not allowing odors and temperatures to mingle.

   
   

2. EZ Glide Freezer Drawer: One thing that was true in the first generation of bottom freezer refrigerators was how heavy the freezer drawers became once they were loaded with food making opening and closing them much more difficult. The RF263AERS (that’s this model) has what’s called an EZ Open Handle so that you can get to your frozen items easily and quickly.

   
   

3. Longer Freshness: That seems so odd to even say/read but what we mean by that is you will be able to extend the freshness of your fruits, vegetables and certain deli items (though please still use the Best By dates on the package ;) with the different specialty storage areas in this refrigerator: Cool Select Pantry, Humidity Controlled Crispers, Dairy Compartment

   
   

4. Lighting: The only thing to be aware of with this model is it doesn’t come with LED lighting which is truly becoming standard for both the fact that it gives off no heat, rarely if ever do bulbs burn out and how easy it is to find what you are looking for.

Colors: This model comes in Black, White, Stainless Steel and Stainless Platinum (easier to keep clean than stainless and magnetic)

Efficiency: Is Energy Star rated

MSRP: $2099 is the suggested price to sell it for but not the actual retail price. As you can imagine, this is one of the less expensive French door refrigerators made by Samsung.
