Seriously Disappointed by Amana!!

I am so disappointed in my Amana Side by Side fridge - Model A2D2575BRW01 Serial HR51407771.


I'm so sorry to say that I haven't liked it since I bought it only a few years ago. Bought it from a local business and wished I would've returned it soon afterwards but I didn't think it would be this bad.

From the first day I had it I was never able to get it level! That seems like it should be a given in every single refrigerator, doesn't it?!?! From the minute they delivered it doors have never lined up because of it and I should've sent it back!

**My recommendation to anyone getting a new fridge don't be afraid to refuse delivery if the doors don't line up!! It will be a nightmare for the rest of the life of the fridge! You don't have to 'play nice' and let them fix it later! Tell them to take it away and bring you one that the doors line up!!

As if the doors not lining up wasn't enough the ice maker spits ice everywhere. Plus when it makes ice it is so loud! It's like they forgot to put in insulation that would dampen the noise! Why would they do that?

I tried to talk to the business I bought it from about how noisy it was and they told me that it was normal and just ignored me.

I haven't had this refrigerator all that long considering I bought it in 2016 and wanted to replace it within the first 6 months that I owned it!

I will NOT consider buying an Amana EVER again! Sadly I don't have the money to replace it and have no recourse as paid cash for it.

I would replace it in a heart beat with something that would be better. Big disappointment!! So huge that I can't even properly explain it in words!!

Whatever you do don't buy an Amana refrigerator - it was the worst purchase I've ever bought and wished I would've bought the Samsung I was considering at the same time!

Hi Esther,

It certainly sounds like your refrigerator has been quite a burden and we are sorry to hear that. We know at this point it is too late to reach out to the actual manufacturer but often you can see if they can help when the retailer won't.

We know getting through to a major corporation can be a struggle but when you do get someone on the phone and you explain that the doors were off from the day it was delivered often they try to jump in and help just so they don't end up with a truly unhappy customer like you are.

Wish there was something more we could offer as help but know that we are here if you need any help answering questions and looking for reviews should you decide you want to buy a new refrigerator.
