I will never buy another LG appliance! My LG side by side refrigerator has only problems


I have lost track of how many times the control panel has been replaced, not to mention the freezer motor and some other parts I am not familiar with being replaced (at least 10 service calls).

Since their last "fix" a month ago, we have had to reset the fridge 3 times, which means you have to pull this big appliance away from the wall to unplug it, wait a bit, plug it back in, and then push it back into place.

I don't believe this is the way a refrigerator is supposed to operate! I'm afraid to even buy a lot of cold/frozen food at one time because I'm afraid I might be gone for an extended time and have the fridge fail again and ruin all my food.

If anybody is reading this review and considering buying LG, don't do it, you'll be sorry!

I do believe when our extended service expires, this LG will soon be dropped by the curb for trash pickup and we'll go buy a real refrigerator.

From the beginning, this fridge would spit ice all over the floor. At the 10 year mark, it began to freeze in the refrigerator despite being set at 46 degrees. Milk a block of ice. Frozen pork chops. Repositioning items to avoid certain areas isn't working. My mother had a fridge for 30 years and replaced it for looks. This was an expensive and disappointing fridge. FYI: Looking for parts I discovered the ice maker has an after market add on to keep the ice aimed towards a glass. I found out 10 years too late. On the upside, I loved this fridge for 10 years and planned to keep it another 20. But the love affair is over and our break up expensive.

 Mine works!

We've had our LG side by side 26 cu ft fridge for well over 5 years and the only that went haywire is the icetray, it gets clogged. Other than that I love it and would buy another!
