LG French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator (model LFX21960ST)

Don't make the same mistake I did! Don't buy ANY LG appliances!!

I was lured by the look and design of the LG stainless steel refrigerator--BIG MISTAKE!

I owned it less than a year when I was contacted by LG telling me that the Energy Star rating it had promoted was not accurate. They offered me a check with a measly amount to make up the difference in the actual energy costs. That's not the worst part though.

  1. Anything you put in the vegetable bins (lettuce, carrots, etc.) gets frozen (there is a setting to adjust the temperature of the refrigerator but when you turn it up the ice maker in the door starts melting, leaving a stream of water running down the door).

  2. The shelves on the doors do not remove easily to facilitate cleaning.

  3. The rollers that the meat drawer slides on broke, as did the door on one of the vegetable bins.

  4. On the positive side, the bottom freezer works and is spacious.

I also bought an LG dishwasher (model LDF6810ST) at the same time--also a HUGE MISTAKE! It looks pretty on the outside but doesn't clean the dishes, glasses or silverware.

We have to hand wash everything before we put it in the dishwasher. We've tried powder and liquid dishwashing liquid detergent--it doesn't matter. This is the worst dishwasher I've ever owned.

LG appliances are lovely to look at, but that is all. They are not functional. I would NEVER buy another LG appliance.

LG Ice Maker Is The WORST Ice Maker Ever
by: Anonymous

LG refrigerator ice maker is the worst ice maker ever.

Sometimes it overfills the ice storage bin because it fails to stop making ice when the bin is full. Often, we have to remove and clean.

Sometimes ice is half ejected from the ice mold tray, more water fills in the tray and everything freezes into one big ice blob!

I will not buy another LG product.... Period.
