Kitchen Aid KSF26C4XYY03 Refrigerator

In July 2006 I purchased a french door KitchenAid KSF26C4XYY03 refrigerator and ordered directly from the company several air filters at the cost of $218.00.

6 1/2 years later the compressor died and I needed a new refrigerator (compressor was under warranty but labor was not - did the math and came up with buying another refrigerator).

Yesterday I received the new Kitchen Aid refrigerator - did not get french doors as I did not like the refrigerator for various reasons including a compressor built in South America and discontinued due to the fact that it "dies" an early death.

Anyway, I called Kitchen Aid to return my old filters and exchange for the new refrigerator.

First I spoke with CRYSTAL who had no record of me and wanted my order number from 2006, which I later learned through ASHLEY her supervisor that it didn't really matter about the order number as their return policy is 30 days.

Had I known my refrigerator was going to die after 6 1/2 years I might have returned filters in 30 days but I am not clairvoyant.

These two women that I spoke with continued to be pleasant and continued to tell me that they would not take back my product even with an order number.

Awful experience and very bad policy for KitchenAid.

My advice, never order directly from the company for any product - buy one at a time at a local store as you never know when their product is going to "die".
