I thought Maytag Refrigerators were supposed to be reliable!! Maytag Plus (model # mtb2156geb)

How in the world does Maytag call this a Maytag PLUS refrigerator? The PLUS should mean all of the extra money you are going to have to spend on it to keep it running!!
We have had nothing but trouble with this refrigerator!! We have had repairmen out to deal with broken motors at least 3 times in the last 10 years.
Look I understand that things break in a refrigerator. Maybe a door handle, a pull out shelf or even a water/ice dispenser because they are constantly being handled by us but a motor?!?! That makes no sense whatsoever!! Aren't motors created so that they can work 24/7 without ever being touched?
Refrigerators used to work for 25-30 years before needing to be fixed or replaces. Usually people would just retire them to their garage as they didn't match the decor anymore and they would get another 5-10 years out there!!
I remember the commercials about the Maytag repairman sleeping on the job because they never broke but that's definitely not the case for us!!
I bought a Maytag refrigerator because I "thought" that Maytags were supposed to be reliable. That has definitely not been the case for us!!
I will never buy any Maytag product again and I would tell anyone looking to buy one to seriously consider not buying one for themselves!!
