GE Profile Bottom Freezer Refrigerator is a piece of garbage! (model number PDS33SFSALSS)

I have owned this GE, freezer on the bottom, refrigerator for 5 years. The ice maker went out within the first two years and is no longer cooling.

While I like the styling of the Profile line, I expect better reliability. My older fridge is an Amana and continues to be a workhorse for 15+ years without a lick of trouble. The Amana replaced a previous GE fridge that crapped out.

I will never again purchase a GE appliance. I have a repair guy scheduled to come out in 2 days; who knows what it will cost me to repair this festering turd.

Mine died in less than 3 yrs. Shelves began cracking and breaking within the first year. Never again will I buy a GE refrigerator! I wish I'd known.

I have had excellent results with GE products. I will be replacing my GE refrigerator soon as it is finally wearing out. It is 44 years old and haven't had one repair in that time.

Never had another refrigerator last that long.
