OVERALL: The Maytag MZD2666KES Side by Side Refrigerator was one of the more popular models with consumers. It's a bit more expensive than some of the other Maytag Side by Side refrigerator models, but that's just the retail price. We've seen it as low as $700 online!

PROS: Here's what we found:

• The Electronic Dual Cool™ system with its upfront controls and two thermostats provided optimal freshness for all your food items.
• The QuietSeries™ 200 sound package worked much better on this unit than on others we've tested (where noise was a problem)
• The Elevator™ shelf which rolls up and down to accommodate tall items is one of our favorite Maytag features. If only it was in more of their models!
• This particular model also had the widest available shelf space available in a traditional side-by-side.
  
  CONS: Once again, the factory installed ice maker in this unit was also a bit slow. The Tilt Down Wire Freezer baskets seemed to "freeze" and it made it difficult for us to access products in these bins.
  NOTE: Unfortunately, this particular refrigerator was DISCONTINUED in 2011. It is still an exceptionally reliable and stylish choice. If you're considering purchasing this refrigerator as a USED unit, you may want to be sure that the prior owner kept the fridge indoors at ALL TIMES.
  
• Typically, the only issues we run across with used refrigerators at this level are those that deal with improper usage of the fridge. MSRP: $2249.00.
