When a refrigerator is outside in zero degree temperature for 4 to 5 hours, how long should you wait to plug it in once you bring it inside?

Hi Brian,

There are a few factors you need to consider. 1) How long was it out in zero degree weather? This will determine whether or not some of the fluids inside the refrigerator have frozen causing a malfunction. 2) What's the age of the refrigerator? If it's a fairly new model, you should be able to get it going again pretty quickly. However, an older model will be less likely to snap back so readily.

Either way, I would strongly recommend you wait at least 24-48 hours before plugging in your refrigerator. This will give ample time to have any fluids and internal components defrost.
