LG French Door Refrigerators

2014 LG Refrigerator Models We Recommend!

LG French Door Refrigerators have quickly become some of the most popular refrigerators on the market. Not only due to their high quality and low price, but also, because LG Refrigerators have proven to be some of the most innovative products available.

The LG models are some of the most popular across the board for a number of reasons. LG makes every attempt to ensure that their refrigerator models are the most innovative and stylized units available. They're always asking the question, how can we make this refrigerator just a little bit better?

In answering that question, they came up with the first French Door Refrigerator with an external ice/water dispenser.

These French door fridges have quickly started to dominate the landscape. They have even managed to eclipse sales of the major American companies like GE and Whirlpool. A South Korean company, LG has been making quality products since the 50's. You might remember the original name, Goldstar.

Discontinued LG French Door Refrigerator Models

Now you're probably wondering why would we include discontinued models but we actually have a few really good reasons.

  1. Many of these models are still in "new-in-box" stock both online and in store.

  2. The older these models become, the better the pricing gets on them -- meaning much better discounts.

  3. Quite often the manufacturers change only a few things from the previous model to create the new one.

The only real negative with buying one of these models it quite often companies stop making parts for fridges 5-6 years after they are discontinued. So if your discontinued model breaks after a certain point you will no longer be able to get parts to fix it.

That being said, here they are:

Other LG French Door Models to Consider

In case you didn't care for the models we listed above, here are three more that might work for your needs:

LG French Door Refrigerators Advantages

LG French Door Refrigerators have three unique characteristics that truly set them apart:

  1. Better Efficiency: The LG Refrigerators typically have better quality compressors, insulation and door gaskets which often lead to lower energy bills. Some of their current models even contain a linear compressor that comes with a 10 year warranty.

  2. Better Capacity: LG Refrigerators typically have better storage capacity than many others comparative models. Much of this is due to the better lighting (they now typically come with LEDs), filtration and dispenser systems which in the LG's take up much less room (SpacePlus™ ice maker)than in other similarly priced side by side refrigerators.

  3. Run Quiet: The LG Refrigerators tend to run anywhere from 10-15% quieter than most other major brands. Partly due to the better internal equipment, and as well as a commitment to make a solid running machine.
