So, variety of product available, durability, consistancy in reviews from both the general public as well as testing agencies such as Consumer Reports and of course our own internal testing well help you determine who makes the best refrigerator.

What follows below are the refrigerator brands that top our lists in every category. Now, keep in mind these brands have the widest variety of product available, the most consistent positive reviews (from consumers and testing agencies), and the least amount of traceable repair records.
The brands we selected are:
Amana Refrigerators: Amana Refrigerators: Amana is interesting, because since they're now owned and manufactured by Whirlpool, you could technically say they are simply a Whirlpool brand. That said, they are still gaining in overall popularity and there are a number of high quality, extremely affordable models.

Whirlpool Refrigerators: Whirlpool is by far the largest American brand of refrigerators. Granted, LG has been a bit inconsistent when it comes to consumer reviews, but for the most part, LG has a number of great refrigerator models to consider.

GE Refrigerators: General Electric is still a leader in this category. Although the General Electric company has a wide variety of product available in all sorts of different categories, their line of refrigerators still manages to get consistant high marks.
