Problems with My 4 Day Old Samsung Stainless Side by Side, #RS267TD

by Gene
(Euless, TX)

We purchased our stainless Samsung side by side refrigerator from Sears and we've had it 4 days.

Since the first day, it's been leaking water from under the front of the fridge whenever we try to get water from the door outlet.

After we discarded the first bucket of ice (as we were told to do in the refrigerator manual), the ice maker stopped working for a day. The ice maker cover was difficult to remove, but I finally managed it and pushed the reset button. It seems to be making ice, now.

When it was delivered there were two dents in the door.

I'm in the process of getting Sears to replace it with a comparable model by Kenmore.

I've read way too many bad reviews on Samsung.

Good for you!

Gene,

I'm so glad to hear Sears is going to take care of the issues you described in your post. Sounds like you got what could very easily become a major headache!

Just one thing to make you aware of before replacing your Samsung with a Kenmore. Kenmore makes almost none of their own refrigerators. Some are even made by LG.

You may want to research who made the model you would like to replace it with before the exchange.

Here's some more info on Sears.
