Amana AFD2535DEB Black French Door Refrigerator Review -- It's a Horrible Purchase!!

The Amana AFD2535DEB Black French Door Refrigerator is a horrible purchase. We bought ours five years ago. Within a month, the compressor quit. We requested a new refrigerator from the place where we purchased it.

Over the years we have had to replace:

  1. Refrigerator

  2. Freezer door handle

  3. Freezer drawer/basket slide

  4. Refrigerator fan mechanism...blows cold air in but wasn't making it cold

  5. Some part that times the compressor coming on

  6. THE COMPRESSOR IS OUT AGAIN!

Check online complaints and you'll see that this refrigerator is not a good buy.

We feel like owning this refrigerator has been nickel and dimed us to death.

Now we are looking for a good, reliable French-door refrigerator. Maybe this time we'll try a Bosch refrigerator - we've heard they are good.

 I Have This Horrible Amana Fridge!!

I also have this horrible Amana fridge!! Here's just a few of the problems I've had with it:

  1. The freezer door is coming loose.
  2. The molding came loose.
  3. The water inside leaks.
  4. The newest problem is leaking into the ice compartment and causing the ice to stick together in one huge clump.


What should I do? Can someone offer any suggestions? I am completely at a loss and would welcome any ideas.
