I HATE My Kenmore Elite Side by Side Refrigerator (Model 58823)

I bought this Kenmore Elite side by side refrigerator (model 58823)from a Sears store 11 months ago and I hate it.

While still under the 1 year manufacturer warranty I had the Sears repairmen out on 7 different occasions to attempt to repair it.

This refrigerator has the ice maker mounted on the interior side of the left door and has the option to obtain water, crushed ice and cubed ice thru the door.

Well, when you select cubes of ice you get crushed and cubes at the same time down the chute which totally plugs up the dispenser chute and nothing comes out. You then have to open the door and remove the ice bucket from off the top of the chute and then all the plugged up ice falls out on the kitchen floor. This happens almost daily.

Every part of the ice making and dispensing system has been replaced and it still has the same problem. Three of the Sear's repairmen told me that it could never be repaired because it was a design flaw in the way the ice maker was built and they showed me why it could never be repaired.

I'm still fighting with Sear's over this but so far they refuse to replace the refrigerator.

Warning: Do not purchase a Sears Kenmore refrigerator. You will regret it.
