LG French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Review Model LFX25960ST

I can't believe I'm already writing a refrigerator review on my LG bottom freezer refrigerator (model LFX25960ST)-- it is only 4 years old!

Last week frost build up in bottom freezer continued to give a FF code on door dispenser. I looked up the Authorized Warranty Service Dealers in the Las Vegas, NV. area and there was only one.

I called Buy/Rite Appliances Service Company and was told they could come out within 2 days which was great, and that the service call would be $99 however they advised me that they only accepted CASH. I thought that was unusual for a Authorized Service Company not to accept credit cards at the least.

When they came out the tech looked at the problem for 5 minutes and told me he was familiar with the problem and that LG's defrost fan was designed improperly and have since redesigned it. I told him to give me a call with the estimate.

They called 2 days later and advised me that it not only needed a Ice Maker FAN Motor(defective design) but a defrost sensor, a control board and Labor which would come to a total of $407.70 and the kicker is that this can be only paid in CASH. No checks or Credit Cards????????

I called LG and spoke to their upper management supervisor and advised them of my problems. They told me there was nothing they could do for me and that they would submit a complaint regarding their Authorized Warranty Service Co.

They advised me that I could contact another Authorized Warranty Dealer that was my option, however that would cost me another $100.00 to come out.

Needless to say I will never be buying any LG products again. I am advising all of my family and friends NOT to purchase LG.

In the end I am going to purchase a new refrigerator from Kitchen Aid as I refuse to pay over $600.00 in CASH for a repair on a product, which is 4 years old that I no longer have any faith in, or the manufacturer.

wow, nothing but trouble, new fridge was negotiated with the house when we bought it, what a mistake.ice maker broke immediatly,floor of the freezer would puddle up and turn into an ice rink almost daily. ER 1F...ER 1F...ER 1F....THIS MODEL SHOULD HAVE BEEN NAMED ER 1F...WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP. I WOULD NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM LG EVER. After reading other reviews I have noticed a similar sentiment.every repair forum sites a different fix,all of them very expensive.

Buying My LG Bottom Freezer Was a Huge Mistake

I bought an LG refrigerator French door type -- that was a big mistake.

The plastic meat drawer tracks cracked and broke. They have replaced the defectively designed ice maker three times.

This is a cheaply made product. I didn't get anywhere in talking with a rep at LG. I told them to changed the name from LG to GL -- meaning GOOD LUCK.

Never will I buy an LG product!!!!!

BIG MISTAKE-Home depot and LG refrig

I too bought A LG refrig at home depot and Its been 2 months of hassel trying to get LGs recomended repair company (buy rite appliances) to fix or replace the compressor whch is under warranty. They keep giving me the run around and they also took a $100 fee to look at it. my advise is don't buy lg and dont buy a frig at home depot.
