Don't Buy a Kenmore 2 Door Refrigerator - It Might Be Made by LG

When we bought our Kenmore 2 door refrigerator (side by side) we never knew it was made by LG!! Had we known we never would have bought it.

My 89 year old mother bought her refrigerator only 1-1/2 years old and broke down. The Sears repairman who came to fix it said that the problems was not using a surge protector and that we should have known it was needed.

This isn't written anywhere in the manual, so how were we supposed to know this. It also shows a cord with a button that goes from the refrigerator to the electrical socket. That is not what we have on our refrigerator. If we were supposed to use a surge protector then why weren't we told when it was delivered.

If we would have known this was an LG refrigerator we would never have purchased it. We also bought a LG washer and dryer that both broke down a day before the warranty ran out (only 3 months after we bought them).

They weren't going to give our money back, until we started yelling and causing a scene in the store.

Can someone help us with this surge protector problem? The said it was going to cost $300.00 and that they couldn't get the part for 5 days.

We are going to purchase another refrigerator and call the Hall of Shame on TV 2 to let them know what is going on and how LG is fooling the buyer. I am hoping this works.

My sister may take a picture of it outside on the front lawn and let everyone know how my mom paid $1,500.00 and because she didn't get a surge protector now she has to pay $300.00 because of an outage we had.

All the food in the refrigerator had spoiled and there was over $300.00 worth of food in there. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what we can do with our refrigerator? They are terrible people.
