LG Bottom Freezer Refrigerator model #LFX25960

I bought an LG bottom freezer refrigerator model #LFX25960 from Home Depot in 2006.

In less than two years, I was having trouble with it, and this was the most expensive refrigerator I had ever bought (approx. $2500). What happened to the days of refrigerators lasting for at least 15 years?

I called LG, and they said my warranty on service was expired but not on the parts. I had several times that I had to hold to complete service and was given repair companies in my local area.

I was fortunate enough to get a repairman who was able to fix my freezer without having to replace the part and advised me of things to do to prevent so many repair charges.

However, what I was advised to do happened pretty frequently. I was having to unplug my refrigerator and remove ice from the freezer more than twice a month. Also, my ice maker has not worked for some time, and nothing helps it.

I had already made up my mind I would never buy another LG or any affiliate appliance from that point. I have recently gotten an LG phone that is worth nothing and have decided to leave LG products alone altogether.

Anyone that is out there listening, PLEASE DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS; they will cost you more headaches than you could ever stand almost immediately.

Will not buy LG again
by: Anonymous

Same here, I will never buy LG again. I had this refrigerator 4 years and the compressor for the ice maker went out.

This refrigerator cost more than $2000.00 and I was quoted $460.00 to replace and repair. I passed on that and now crack my own ice from trays.

I was hoping that was the only problem I would have but now the freezer door has issues and it is a major effort to close it.

Never will by LG product again.

Compressor Poblem With The Same LG Refrig
by: Bruce Manvell

I have the same LG refrig and I got it three years ago and the compressor went out.

Same story, warranty is out but they did cover parts and I had to pay labor. The parts are still on order and I have been without a refrig for over a week now. Going to cost me $194.

I will never buy another Lg Product.
