Great Whirlpool Side by Side Refrigerator Review But Bad Ice Bucket (model #ED5LTAXVL00)

Here's my great Whirlpool side by side refrigerator review with a terrible ice bucket on the door -- engineering at its worst!

I need to empty and thaw the ice bucket every two weeks if the crushed ice is used! It freezes up and stalls the motor! What a mess to thaw it and make it work again! How could it pass anyone's quality test?

It seems like hot air gets into the crusher cavity through the flapper on the outlet! This causes the ice to melt and refreeze making the whole crusher to solid ice! Results: a total freeze up of the crusher!

My refrigerator is about 4 years old and shouldn't have this kind of a problem already!

I am certain Whirlpool is aware of this problem...because its unavoidable based on the design.
