Electrolux French Door Refrigerator EI28BS56ISO Review
We purchased our Electrolux Refigerator in the spring of 2009. Within a few months of the purchase, we experienced problems with our ice make not producing enough ice.
We immediately contacted Electrolux who scheduled a service technician to diagnose and repair it. After the service technician replaced several parts, the ice maker still did not produce enough ice to even fill the ice bin.
As of today, we have had 8 more service calls and 5 or 6 different technicians come out to diagnose and repair...still no ice for up to 2 weeks at a time to 10-15 cubes every other day.
We have been purchasing bagged ice since spring of this year!!! How is it possible to spend so much for a state of the art, high tech refrigerator that can detect even the slightest differences in temperature for the fridge and freezer but for some reason it can't make ice?!?!
We are also even more amazed that with all of the people that have been out to fix it, no one person has been able to figure out what the problem is. Our question is can they just replace the ice maker with a new one at this point because this one just doesn't work.
We are very disappointed and cannot believe in the lack of service and functionality of this product. At this point we would have to say that while the rest of the systems work fine, to seriously reconsider purchasing an Electrolux.
