Terrible Craftsmanship on our GE Bottom Freezer Refrigerator (Model PDS20MBSAWW)

We purchased a GE bottom freezer refrigerator, Model PDS20MBSAWW, in 2005. It has now broken down for the third time in six years & the replacement parts come to over $1,000!! Not even counting labor & service calls!

We have already spent hundreds of dollars on repairs. Now we are forced to buy a new refrigerator & have been told not to expect more than 7 to 10 years service from modern models. I can't believe this & I certainly can't accept it.

In addition to its now-irretrievable breakdown, this GE refrigerator has shelves & trays that are absolute junk. They crack from normal use, like being rolled in & out, or when being removed & washed.

What in the world has happened to the GE company?!?! Our repairman told us that their other GE appliances have just as many problems.

Our old frig was going strong at the age of 25. I'm so sorry we remodeled.
