Whirlpool Bottom Freezer Refrigerator (model EB9FVHXVQ01)

by Ludmila M.
(Toronto, Canada)

My Whirlpool bottom freezer refrigerator is almost two years old, all the time having problems - "knocking" sound, numerous service calls and technicians appointments did not help.

The sound has really gotten to be a bother. The repairman explained that this sound is because of Whirlpool's using the new efficient gas instead of freon. I only WHIRLPOOL had provided this info before I bought this fridge. I never expected any additional sounds from the fridge, except the sound of a working motor.

Customer service did not help. They did not want listen the customers, and do not care.

Never buy this kind Whirlpool fridge. NEVER!!!

Knocking and leaking
by: Anonymous

I had the same knocking problem but they installed a special kit after one month of use.

The kit looked like a retainer hose kit. It is now about 50% better.

After 2 years it is now leaking water from the bottom (there is a crack in plastic water pan).

Whirpool is finished for me and friends.
