What is the green fluid leaking out of my refrigerator?

I found a green fluid leaking out of my refrigerator when I was cleaning behind it. The green stains on the floor and the tube-like shape on the fridge also was green.

What is that stuff? Is it toxic? What do I need to fix?

Help...
by: Anonymous

I am going to turn the fridge on,but was wondering how long does it take for a fridge to cool?

I kept the fridge turned off, to be sure that there is nothing wrong with the cooling. Also when I turn it back on, if the fridge doesn't cool, is there a way to repair it? or do i need to save up and call a repairman?

I Want to Fix my Fridge Myself
by: Max

Hello, I live in Malaysia and I have reached my patience looking for a handyman to fix my fridge.

As no one is willing to fix it, I have decided to do it myself. The problems I'm having are the following:

  1. There is a very bad smell in my fridge
  2. A green liquid is leaking inside the fridge
  3. It isn't cooling any longer
  4. The compressor is not shaking but it is making noise

Can anyone tell me what the possible issues are? And if it is repairable?

NO NEED TO WORRY...
by: Flutesnoot

I had the same issue with my refrigerator. I spoke to my repair guy and he told me that it's just corrosion that dripped off of the copper pipes.

Typically it's caused by humidity. As long as the fridge is still cold, you should have nothing to worry about.
