What does it mean when the gaskets on the fridge and freezer door are hot?
Our question has to do with having hot gaskets on our fridge and freezer.
We have been having problems with our 16-year old fridge becoming too cold and freezing some of the food. We lower the temp and it goes away for a while.
Now the gaskets at the fridge and freezer doors are hot, as well as the metal just outside the freezer door. Is it time to get a new unit, or is this a fixable problem?
Is this a typical thing that happens over time or is it a simple fix and we can get another 10 years out of this model?
Thanks so much!
