What do you think about the new compact refrigerators?

I have been researching to purchase a compact refrigerator for my daughter to take to college. Have discovered the new style that has a separate door for freezer.

The two compact refrigerator models I've found were the Frigidaire BFPH31M6LM or BFPH444M4LM.

Huge Improvement on Compact Refrigerators!!!

Priscilla,

You are so smart to have noticed that they do have new compact refrigerators with separate door freezers! I am happy to tell you that you will be overjoyed to end up with one of these.

The reason why these have become more popular is having two separate compartments allows for more space and a great deal less frost!! Check to see if it has a defrost cycle as well.

If you've ever had a compact refrigerator (the all in one kind) you'd know that the frost build up goes from a bit to taking over the entire freezer. The only way to get rid of it is to defrost the whole thing.

Tip: Use a hair dryer. You can do it quickly and not lose all of your food.

So as for not being sure if it's the way to go, I would say that is the smartest compact refrigerator purchase you could make.
