Sears Kenmore Freezerless Refrigerator Model # C675-63702-OQ

I bought a Sears Kenmore Refrigerator only (a.k.a. freezerless) model.

I thought paying over $1200.00 I would of had my fridge longer then 1 1/2 years.

Apparently SEARS sells disposable appliances.You use them for a year then throw them away.

I asked SEARS if they would look into why it only lasted only a year and a half .They said it had only 1 year warranty and it was totally my responsibility to get it looked at.

I took it to a appliance repair person and he said that all the freon had leaked out which then caused the compressor to quit.

I hate it because not only didn't the fridge work for very long, but where I live I have to drive at least 6 hours to get it repaired.

I would not recommend buying this Kenmore freezerless refrigerator model,not even to my worst enemy.

The next appliance I get, I will surely be asking for the extended warranty.

This LEMON should be recalled if Sears was honest! NEW

I purchased this item for my elderly diabetic mother a year before I purchase one for me. I though mom was doing something wrong when her food had mold on it when I visited the next month. When my food grew mold 6 months after my purchase, I realize I had been sold a LEMON.

Our Kenmore Freezerless Refrigerator is Another Piece Of Junk For A Land Fill

We only had our Kenmore freezerless fridge for 32 months and out of the blue it stopped cooling and couldn't keep anything cold.

Now all we have is a piece of junk to put in the land fill.

My Kenmore Freezerless Refrigerator Died After 3 Years

I purchased same Kenmore freezerless fridge. When it broke down they told me that repairs would have been over 800$.

So instead the repair man suggested to buy new one. I should have listened to him because they repaired the leak and the compressor went shortly after.

Definitely do not recommend this fridge.

Does anyone have a warranty/owners manual for Kenmore all refridgerator model # C675-63705-OR. I need it for the warranty. I bough mine from sears and after 18months the freon leaked out and now it only blows warm air. thankfully I bought it no my visa so they added a year to the warranty, but I need a copy of the warranty and can't find the owners manual with that it in. thanks

Another Freezerless Refrigerator Lemon

Well it sounds like I bought the wrong freezerless fridge and freezer. I got 3.5 years out of my fridge, I guess I was lucky to get that.

I am a long time Sears customer but I am having trouble with every Sears product I have, from lawn equipment, fridge, washer and dryer.

Sears products are garbage now compared to what they were. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUY ANYTHING FROM SEARS.

Kenmore Freezerless Refrigerator with the Same Problem

Same situation for me.

Sears just had to tell me, "You only have 1 year warranty - and you DID buy this fridge 2 years ago. I can send a appliance repair company to you but the least it will cost you is $199, and then they might tell you they can't fix it - they will probably recommend someone that can fix it, but it is your responsibility."

Why buy from SEARS, and why buy a MAYTAG - DO NOT!

Waiting for more Kenmore Refrigerator issues sure to come...

We bought a stand alone Kenmore all fridgeKenmore all freezer (upright freezer), that match, for our kitchen.

They were in storage for 3yrs not unpacked. We were assured we'd still have warranty by local manager, not to worry.

The first month of using it, it started to smoke, and smells like something is burning electrical or plastic?? We took it in to repair, and was told NO WARRANTY after 1 yr! Even though it's was in crate and only functioning for 1 month!!!

Then wouldn't cover the $150 repair bill to replace the whole light fixture that was burnt out total replaced.

To find after video taping it from inside that there's a design defect and the light isn't being tripped to turn off! Now the dumb thing is smoking again!

The repair tech took apart and cannot figure it out, and Sears would do nothing. Oh, wait, "Did you want to order a new one- no, it won't match the freezer already in your kitchen.."

AARRGGHHH!!!! Never again! Sears has the poorest customer service/warranty I've come across. Scared to leave home as it may start a fire!!!

Dont Buy Kenmore

I bought a side by side refrigerator back in 2003.

The compressor went out in 2010 after owning it less than 7 years.

Would never buy a Kenmore again. The sears repair tech was nice and honest. He told me to buy a plain refrigerator without the ice maker and water dispenser.

He recommended buying Whirlpool brand.

Another Kenmore Freezerless Refrigerator Lemon

I too purchased this Kenmore all fridge for $1000 2 years ago and now it is being used in my back workshop for storage as either the compressor failed or it has a leak after only 2 years.

I tried to contact Sears to see if the sealed system was under warranty as sometimes they are, even tho the fridge only has a 1 year warranty, but no luck.

I just purchased another fridge and got 5 years coverage, including $200 on food spoilage per incident. The extended warranty only cost me $139 for the full 5 years, well worth it, and not the $120 per year Sears sells.

After being a reliable customer of Sears for over 30 years, this incident has cost them a customer.

There are better deals out there and better prices then Sears, you just have to look for them. With all the problems this fridge has it should of been recalled or repaired at least.

Kenmore Model C675-63702-0Q Equivalent or Newer Freezerless -- Buy an Extended Warranty!!

If you do buy this Kenmore freezerless fridge make sure you buy the extended warranty.

The standard warranty is 1 year. Our refrigerator required servicing in the first year.

Then after owning it for a total of 2 years & 9 months, the compressor failed. Repair parts & labor is estimated to be between $350-500 & then only has 90 day warranty on the repair.

We are buying a brand of fridge this time instead of spending all of that money on one that might quit on us and not be covered in 90 days.

Sears Freezerless refrigerator

I was in the process of buying a freezerless refrigerator from Sears because I am a customer of theirs.

After reading the reviews I have changed my mind and will purchase elsewhere. Now I will question whether I purchase any other appliances from them.

I live in Newfoundland and the The lady in Prophet River,BC.,who wrote the review saved me a lot of money and headaches,so I thank her for it.

I also thought that this Sears product would last longer than 1 1/2 years. I am having problems with our fridge which is only 1 1/2 years old.

I truly think that Sears Kenmore products are VERY POOR, and do not have the quality of years past.

Wow that really sounds like quite an ordeal and being a B&B owner did it drastically effect your business?

While I know that Subzero and KitchenAid are much more expensive freezerless refrigerators, we've had no complaints about them.

Please let us now what you end up getting to replace it and how it works out for you.
