Noisy Danby Designer Refrigerator Review (Model DFF1140WY)

Our Danby refrigerator review about our apartment-sized refrigerator is actually a good one. It works well EXCEPT for one problem that may cause us to pitch it out and get a new fridge.

The problem is NOISE!!!!!! When the refrigerator is working it is so loud it actually keeps us awake...when our apartment is quiet and the refrigerator stops running the silence is like someone turned off a jack hammer.

When I called Danby the man I spoke with simply said, "Gosh, I've never heard of that problem before." Unfortunately, he did not offer any help. Unless we can get a solution we may have to get a new refrigerator.

Has anyone had similar problems or at least a suggestion on how to make it quieter?
