My Hotpoint Refrigerator (model hss251fmc) is a Complete Lemon!!

My Hotpoint Refrigerator model HSS251FMC is a complete lemon!!


From day 1 it has always been trouble! I had to call GE again trying to get help.

First it sparked and caused a shortage. Then last year I had to replace a water valve. Just before that the freezer door was freezing up.

Now the fridge is on but does not get cold! I had to throw all my groceries away. I don't know who to write to. It needs a new compressor and mother board.

Any ideas on how to help would be greatly appreciated. The fridge is only 7 years old total and the fix is $800.00.

I have the same lemon. It freezes up, make a loud noise and I too have had to have it repaired over and over.

I have the same fridge and I have had nothing but problems with it!!

We have replaced every thing on the fridge. to date it had been fixed 6 times.

Finally we are getting a new one thanks to our extended warranty.

Your Hotpoint refrigerator sounds exactly like mine. I'm done trying to make it work and instead I'm getting rid of it and starting over!
