LG Side-by-Side Refrigerator (model LSC26905TT) - Big Fire Hazard!!

This model of LG side by side refrigerator has been discontinued, and I can see why. So far, ours hasn't caught fire, but others have.

We bought it new for $1600 in 2006 and recently had $400 in repairs. We were told by LG reps that we should have bought the extended warranty. No, we should have bought another brand. Any other brand!

Because it's big and we're moving, we checked with three used appliance stores in town to see what they'd give us for it. The best was $30 to haul it away (!) and the two others want nothing to do with anything LG.

Neither do I. I will never again buy ANYTHING branded LG.

Dangerous LG Side By SIde Refrigerators NEW

We own an LG side by side model LFX25960SB refrigerator. Yesterday morning when we opened the door everything on the top shelf had melted. The refrigerator light assembly on the fridge ceiling was melting and smoking about to catch fire!

If we were not home, or still in bed, I am sure it would have caught fire and burned the house down!!!

An hour ago our $2,000.00 L.G. Refrigerator caught fire.
Luckily we were at home and in the kitchen, or we could have lost our home.
The firemen said they had never heard of a fridge catching fire.
Guess there aren't a lot of L.G. Products in our neighborhood, because after looking on the web this appears to be a common problem.
Please steer away from these products.
