I Am Incredibly Dissappointed with My Kenmore Bottom Freezer Refrigerator (model #795.7830)

I purchased my Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator (model #795.7830)a little over a year ago and already the seals on the fridge doors are tearing and not holding a tight seal.

I am vey disappointed because the refrigerator is OVER a year old I cannot have them replaced at no charge!

My last refriderator was a GE and worked for OVER 20 years and I NEVER had a problem with it.

The only reason why I bought a new one was I thought I should purchase a more energy efficient refrigerator.

I am incredibly disappointed in the quality and construction of this fridge.

Remember When Whirlpool made Lenmore NEW
by: Merr Marv

I love this refrigerator, most of the time. After 8 years it didn't cool as well and finally it quit frezzing. I had Sears send a tech out who took it's temperature and held the door switches down and said the compressor was no good. Hmm, so that's a complete diagnosis? He said they don't have the compressor and had I had an extended warrantee they would've giving me a brand new one... But wait it still cools to 37 in the freexer. Now a automotive A.C. will not cool good so they give it a charge of freon. Hmm, so I bought Freon at harbor freight and a charging hose with gauge on amazon. Plus from Grainger a bullet piercing connector. All this for less than fifty dollars. Took the back cover off got down and installed the connector hooked up the hoses put 7 squirts of 134a Freon in it. Read the gauge , 2 psi and now it works like it should. Maybe I'm lucky, but the service world today seems greedy and inexperienced. My advice is buy whirlpool, one made in Texas or the USA

MY BOTTOM FREEZER IS ON THE BLINK AGAIN
by: Anonymous

Our bottom freezer refrigerator went down right after Hurricane Maria. It took two months to repair the problem. We live in Puerto Rico. Imagine our dilema. New compressor, new memory board with parts and labor. Sears spent almost $1,000 for them. They should have given me a new one because yesterday our refrigerator went on the blink again. Same symptoms. The'll spend another $1,000. They're better off giving us a new one.

DO NOT PURCHASE SEARS BOTTOM FREEZERS!

Since unexpected I lost all my grocery in the refrigerator!!!

THANK GOD, STILL UNDER WARRANTY!! Lets see technician should be here in 2 days!!! What a shame going through this again!!

I also have a relatively new Kenmore #795.7830 and my gasket has torn. Even if I could manage to replace it myself, the part costs $70. What sa disappointment. This didn't happen with my old(20year) frig. There is onky one person opening the door.
