Electrolux French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator Review

My Electrolux french door refrigerator review does not tell a happy story. I bought it in Dec. 2009 and at nine months in I've had problem after problem:


  1. The ice maker stopped working. Electrolux had to send in a whole new ice maker kit.


  2. The $85.00 water filter was used up in only 6 weeks. It doesn't make any sense because we have the cleanest water in North America, it's crap as it has stopped working!!


  3. The fridge not cold enough....had to keep lowering temp to maintain food.


  4. Customer service at Electrolux Canada STINKS! Thank goodness the store I bought it from was on my side.....Electrolux is horrible!

I paid over $ 3,800.00 for it nine months ago and I am getting it returned (took 2 months) and am buying another brand all together!

Has anyone had better luck with Samsung?

It is truly the absolute worse refrigerator, not cold, ice maker breaks. Looks good on the outside but doesn't perform on the inside.

 Electrolux Refrigerator: Nightmare Purchase!!

I have has my Electrolux refrigerator changed 5 times in 3 years!! This is the worst fridge I've ever bought.

The icemaker has not yet been perfected. The door keep slamming into the other.

I also bought a complete set of Electrolux kitchen appliances. The gas stove rusted from the elements and was considered cosmetic and didn't get replaced.

I had at least 10 service calls on the dishwasher -- it too had very poor quality. As for the refrigerator, I've had at least 15 service calls on it. What a waste of my time and money?!?!

I will try Samsung next as I've found plenty of good reviews on their counter depth units.

This was a complete disaster and will never recommend Electrolux appliances to anyone.

Truly a nightmare-ish experience for the last 3 years.

Get your act together Electrolux if you want to stay in business.
