The Kenmore 5687 Side by Side Refrigerator

• OVERVIEW: Similar models to the Kenmore 5687 Side by SideRefrigerator were quite noisy, so we were expecting the worst when weplugged this unit into the wall.  But, we were happilysurprised by it's quiet function.  Aside from a small dripcoming from the ice dispenser (which was condensation that eventuallywent away) the unit performed flawlessly.   



• STYLE: For the price range, we found this modelhad sleek styling that would greatly enhance any kitchen decor. We preferred the look of the stainless finish.  



• CAPACITY:  It only has a 21.8 cubic foot interior whichseemed tight at first, but it's designedwell and will meet the capacity needs of a family of four. The freezer is a little tight, but still ample.  Besure to specify whether you want a wine bottle holder or a soda canholder when you order your fridge.  In the two 5687 models wetested, we got one of each and when we tried to order the other itproved rather difficult.



• NOTABLE FEATURES:  The PUR II water and ice filtrationsystem works quite well.  Replacement filters are relativelyinexpensive and even though they recommend changing them every sixmonths, our unit was still providing top quality water and ice wellinto the seventh month.  

  Some of the features we like werethe lighted water and ice dispenser area as well as the pull outshelves which made organizing your food product a heck of a lot easier.




• COLORS: It comes in Black on Black, White on White,Stainless Finish, and Biscuit on Biscuit. For a fridge in thisprice range, they usually aren't available in genuine stainless steelmodels, but we found the stainless finish in this particular modelquite attractive.



• EFFICIENCY: It’s Energy Star Qualified.
  
  
• DIMENSIONS: Its dimensions are: DEPTH – 353/4in, WIDTH – 32 3/4in, HEIGHT 67 1/4in.
