GE Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Reviews

Here are the models of GE Bottom Freezer Refrigerators we recommend!

Of the GE Bottom Freezer Refrigerators available on the market, there are a number that we can highly recommend. The Bottom Freezer models are becoming much more and more popular. The most popular Bottom Freezer Refrigerators are of course the French Door Refrigerators.

While these models are becoming ever more popular, there is still a high demand for the Single Door Fridge with a Bottom Freezer. So, we have reviewed a number of models in both categories and managed to narrow down the best models for you to consider.

3 Things to Remember

When determining which Bottom Freezer Refrigerator is best for you, you need to consider the following:

  1. Capacity: Consider how large your family is currently and more importantly, where it's heading. Will your situation change in the next year? Two years? Five? Most refrigerators last approximately 10 years, so you'll want to consider where you'll be during that time to ensure you make the right purchase.

  2. Styling: Consider what you're looking for with regard how you want the fridge to look once it's in your kitchen. If you're looking for functional more than appearance, then you can greatly narrow down your options as well as price range. Most fridges come in black, bisque, white, stainless steel or satina (a stainless alternative). So, consider which color might go best in your kitchen before making your purchase.

  3. Available Space: Look at where your current fridge sits and measure what available space you have before making your purchase. Take into account the swing of the door (should it swing to the right or to the left?) How will it best fit into your existing kitchen. Do you want a "built in" look? If so, you may want to consider the GE Monogram line, or look for counter depth refrigerators.

1.) The GE PDSS5NBWLSS GE Profile 25.3 Cu. Ft. Stainless Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator

For about $1,800.00 you can get one of the best GE Bottom Freezer refrigerators on the market. We found the GE PDSS5NBWL to be one of the highest scoring Bottom Mount refrigerators on the market across all brands.

  • The Stainless Steel Contoured Doors and Sculptured Handles with Top and Bottom Bevels offer up a dramatic look and a touch of personal style.

  • This unit has an Optional Automatic Icemaker that we highly recommend you get. The two humidity-controlled drawers and 1 full-length drawer came in quite handy.

  • The BrightSpace™ Interior with GE Reveal™ Lighting cast a natural-looking glow throughout the refrigerator including the freezer drawer.

  • We really liked the convenience of the Multi-Level Slide 'n Store™ Basket System which includes three full-extension baskets for tremendous storage flexibility.

***Be sure to request the Condiment Bin and Beverage Rack as some dealers think this is optional.

2. The GE PDS20MBWWW GE Profile™ Energy Star® 19.5 Cu. Ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator - White

This GE Bottom Freezer Refrigerator is one of the more affordable in the GE line, but is still loaded with great features.

  • The upfront, Electronic Touch Temperature Controls with Digital Temperature Display clearly displays the exact temperature for the fresh food and freezer compartments. This type of feature is usually saved for more expensive models.

  • We are big fans of the ClimateKeeper™ System which we feel aside from the most expensive refrigerators on the market is the best Temperature Management System that you can buy.

  • The QuickSpace™ Shelf in the fridge quickly slides out of the way to make room for tall items while the Multi-Level Slide 'n Store™ Basket System in the freezer has three full-extension baskets which allows for tremendous storage flexibility and keeps contents perfectly in place.

  • The BrightSpace™ Interior with GE Reveal™ Lighting was nice, and managed to cast a natural-looking glow throughout the fridge.

***Be sure to request the ShelfSaver™ Rack which provides convenient storage for a 12-pack, two egg cartons or a 9" by 13" casserole dish. Some dealers consider this an option and forget to bring it up.

3. The GE PDS22MIWWW GE Profile 22.2 Cu. Ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator with Internal Water Dispenser

If you have a bit more budget, then the PDS22MIW is definitely the way to go. It's available in WHITE, BLACK, BISQUE and STAINLESS.

  • This model comes with all the major features you might expect out of much larger, more expensive refrigerators.

  • The Internal Water Dispenser With GE SmartWater™ Filtration delivers chilled fresh-tasting water through its internal water dispenser.

  • It also has Upfront, Electronic Touch Temperature Controls with Digital Temperature Display which displays the temperature for both the fresh food and freezer compartments.
